Hunters Harvest Fall Festival and Arts & Crafts Show
The 5th annual Hunters Harvest Fall Festival and Arts & Craft show at Hunter Park will be held on November 16, 2019 from 12 pm-3 pm. This event will feature vendors from all over West Georgia and Metro ATL with various arts & crafts and food and beverage items.
The festival will also include a children’s play zone featuring inflatables and other amenities for $5. Children 3 and under are free inside the play zone.

CAC Annual Gala & Auction: Mardi Gras
The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is hosting its annual fundraising gala, themed “Mardi Gras” on November 23rd from 6 – 10 pm. This year the event will take place at The Douglasville Conference Center. Come enjoy a tasteful dinner, a stylish cash bar, classy music for dancing, charming Silent & Live Auction.

Looking to do something to support the local economy that is simple and fun while helping Douglas County’s future? It’s easy – participate in the Buy Local – Win Big Contest and keep the holiday cheer HERE this holiday season! The Douglas County Chamber and Main Street Villa Rica are partnering for the third year in a row to encourage the community to buy local November 30th through December 15th and in return, one lucky person will win $1,000. This program is also presented by media partners; Chapel Hill News and Views and Villa Rica News and Views.
Here’s how you can participate. First, shop at any Chamber member or Villa Rica Main Street member business. There is no minimum purchase requirement. Next, turn in your receipt at the Douglas County Chamber or the Main Street Villa Rica Office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday by December 15th. There is no limit to the number of receipts you can submit. All entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. on December 16th. Finally, watch the Douglas County Chamber Facebook page for the drawing on December 17th at 4 p.m. to see if your receipt is drawn. The winning participant will receive $1,000 and the participating business will receive $300.

DC Students Winter Art Competition Exhibit
The CAC will be awash with creativity of the DC school students as December exhibit will feature more than 150 holiday designs created by elementary, middle, and high school students from 29 Douglas County Schools in its annual holiday card competition.
The opening reception, hosted by the CAC Gallery Committee, will be held on Thursday, December 5th, from 5 until 7 pm for participating students, teachers, and their families. The event is free and open to the general public. The exhibit will remain on view Monday thru Friday, from 9 am until 5 pm, through Thursday, December 19th.
Each student selected as the best entry in their age category will win a Gift Certificate for classes, art supplies or framing, generously sponsored by the Red Cockerill Gallery.
